This isn’t anything new… Demoncrats and republicants all have their friends, cronies, campaign contributors - whatever it is you want to call it. Bush sr. had them, Clinton had them, Bush Jr. had them - and now surprise surprise! Obama has them…

I have a novel idea… Stop voting for democrats and republicans. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results…. Hmmmmmmmmmmm…..

It is sickening to watch, especially considering it’s my own money they are sucking away as fast as they can get it. The one thing we know we can’t depend on to fix this mess is these same crooks. I think we’re far overdue for a change.

Yeah. Hail to the new chief same as the old one. The two parties are really just one party unified behind soaking in our tax dollars and gaining control and power over other people.

Well seeing as every 5 or so posts I call for an end to the unconstitutional federal income tax and the federal reserve - I am not the liberal-minded libertarian to talk to about this lol.

Very good points Dan. I’m more aligned with a “Fair Tax” kind of system that would allow Americans to thrive through thrift, but still pay taxes on the luxury purchases to support the military.

As far as government spending and paying the salaries of our officials, I think we should go back to our roots and make all political jobs volunteer positions in which no donations can be accepted. If our founders knew of the exorbitant salaries we now pay our politicians, not to mention the “contributions,” they would likely have ripped the constitution to shreds and started over.

I wonder how long we will be forced to endure this socialist propaganda before people become sick of being poor (as all but the politicians will soon be) and vote in some true conservatives to breathe life back into our system.

I don’t think we should have taxes. Period.

Socialism appeals to people because it allows them to be lazy, unambitious, and dependent on the State to survive. You don’t have to work hard, you don’t have to innovate, everyone is simply made equal.

Supporters of Obama will furiously resent being called socialists, but in my opinion those who even supported McCain are heavily into social and central planning themselves. Republicans are too socialist for my taste.

Thanks homemaker! You’re exactly right; we’re apparently out of fashion. I look to many great examples in history who were persecuted or killed for making sense and thinking for themselves, and thank God that we haven’t yet reached the point where Christian conservatives are being locked away or worse. Keep up the critical thinking!
